1 Week

I can't believe that Macie is one week old today!  What a great week it has been, Christmas and lots of family time...I couldn't have asked for anything better.  Macie is a great baby, she loves to be cuddled and held.  For the first few nights at home she wouldn't sleep in her bed, made for some long nights :) but last night she slept for 5 straight hours in her bed!  Hopefully it continues.  Addie, Cole and Isaac love their little sister already.  Addie would hold her all day if I'd let her and I constantly find her examining Macie...her tiny hands, feet, ears, etc...Addie loves looking at and kissing her!  Cole keeps telling me, "my little sister is cute!" and asks to hold her all the time.  After he has held her for a minute he tells me that "she is heavy", hands her over to me and is off playing again.  Isaac waves to Macie all of the time!  He tries to be soft with her, and wants to touch her, but it usually ends up being a little smack on the head, so I try and keep her at arms length from him!  Our family is smitten with our newest addition and so thankful that she is here and healthy.  It's crazy how you can love someone so much so quickly.  I can't imagine our family without her.
