6 weeks

Cole is six weeks old today. It is crazy how quickly these last 6 weeks have gone by, especially because life is so different now. It has been an adjustment to 2 kids...but one that I wouldn't trade. I love the spirit a new little baby brings to our home. It is also amazing to me the personality traits that are so strong at such a young age. Cole is already our little homebody. He loves things to be calm, peaceful and quiet, loves to cuddle, likes a schedule, is a great sleeper and is so patient. He has been such a perfect baby. He only cries when he gets hungry and that usually only lasts for about 15 seconds...long enough to let me know he wants to eat! After he lets me know he is quiet again until I feed him. This is working to his advantage though...because he is so patient about it I feel guilty if I make him wait. I'm having to learn a balance between dropping everything to help Cole and telling Addie "just a second" when I'm in the middle of something.

Cole is also growing at a much faster pace than Addie. I already can't believe how big he is. He has quite the wing span and is really long. Dave and I are pretty confident that he will be tall. He's already moved to size one diapers and has outgrown all of his newborn clothing!

I feel so blessed to have Cole as a part of our family. I love how good it feels to just sit and hold him after a long day. We love him so much and can't imagine life without him.
