If I could explain our life right now in one word that would be it. Our typical day consists of:
9am - Out the door - 4 of us showered, dressed & fed - 1/2 the time the feeding happens in the car!
45 minute commute filled with scripture study, phone calls and creating our "to-do" list for the day
10am-6pm - The Store - has quickly become our 2nd home, or maybe our first considering we still haven't found one! Addie & Cole are troopers as they share mom and dad with customers, office work and moving safes! But we are together and the store is busy so we can't complain.
6pm - Dinner - Addie usually gets to choose, we eat maybe one meal at home per week. I never thought I'd look forward to planning a weeks worth of dinners, but I officially HATE eating out now!
The rest of the evening usually consists of looking at houses, driving neighborhoods hoping we'll fall in love with one & a house that is for sale :), or searching the MLS listings for houses to look at the next day.
Sometime between 8 and 10 we usually start our 45 minute commute home. Addie and Cole usually fall asleep in the car, Dave and I get home and quickly fall asleep just to wake up and start the same routine.
I never thought I'd be so excited to have a 30 year financial commitment again! The things I dream of now are:
* a 15 minute commute
* Popping into the store for an hour or so to help out if I need to
* not having to spend the majority of our time looking for a permanent home
* my kids having normal, consistent bedtimes
* going a full week with both of them sleeping through the night (I blame this on the crazy schedule, they were both perfect sleepers before we moved). You know you've bribed your kids too much when Addie has something to give me and tells me "if you sleep all night long you can have it!"
* going to Costco and filling the cart with food you'll eat at home for the next several weeks
* our king size bed
* eating home cooked meals
* my washer & dryer
* unpacking and being able to use all of our own stuff again
* DVR
* decorating & making a new house our home
So in a market where hundreds of houses go to auction every day are we being too picky? Our problem, we already fell in love with one house but saw it too late and it sold to someone else. Now our task has been to find one that matches or beats it. We are finding that this is a rather large undertaking and a bit overwhelming with the amount of houses we have to sort through. So wish us luck and hopefully we'll be resting in our own home soon!

That is definitely a hectic life! Searching for a home is not nearly as exciting as you would think. I was so relieved when we found our home last July, but it was a long road to get there. It is worth taking the time to make sure it's the right one! Hope you find it soon :) When your life settles down, I would love to see you guys- wish we lived a little closer.
I sure feel for you! I can relate!! I hope things fall into place soon. I know they will and it will all be worth it!
You guys are troopers . . . especially your cute kids. We hope and pray you find something soon! So sorry the last house didn't work out.
