Tuesday was a pretty relaxing day spent in Newport. We slept in (even the kids!), ate a yummy breakfast, hung out in the villa and then headed to Ruby's Shake Shack for lunch and Crystal Cove beach for the rest of the afternoon. I love being at the beach, the sound of the ocean and just relaxing. Dave, Addie and Cole love it too, unfortunately Isaac doesn't share our same feelings. This was not his favorite place. He hated the sand and the water, and was only happy for so long on a blanket! I didn't ever have to wonder where he was though, he would not get off the blanket into the sand :) After the beach we headed to the pool at our hotel and ordered in pizza. It was a great day!
The seagulls bothered us all afternoon, so as we were packing up our stuff, John flung the bottom of the umbrella towards the birds. It happened to hit one of them :( The seagull just laid there and then we had a whole flock circling overhead. This went on for about 5 minutes and we were sure it was going to die, when all of the sudden it flew away! We were all pretty surprised :)
